Residents take a stand to spread cheer

Clad in bright yellow shirts and holding cheery signs some 20 people staked out Thrasher’s Corner last Friday for what the event coordinator called a ‘happiness sprinkling’ event.

Clad in bright yellow shirts and holding cheery signs some 20 people staked out Thrasher’s Corner last Friday for what the event coordinator called a ‘happiness sprinkling’ event.

Holding signs with phrases like “You are a good parent,” “Trust Yourself” and “You are loved” the sprinklers were greeted with waves and honking horns.

Local Nidhi Mehta decided to put on the event after reading about similar events in other cities around the country and wanted to bring one to Bothell.

They aimed to lift spirits, and from the amount of horns, smiles and waves, they may have done just that.
