• The Bothell Sons of Norway Lodge recently announced the Ray Berg Memorial Scholarship recipients for 2008:

Katrina Dunbar, daughter of Lee Dunbar of Bothell, graduated from Bothell High and will enter Washington State University in September.

Lauren Norton, granddaughter of longtime Sons of Norway member Glenn Kensmoe, graduated from Capital High in Olympia and will attend Western Washington University this coming fall.

Kristina Snaring, granddaughter of Selma Snaring of Mill Creek, graduated from Tahoma High in Kent and will enter Pacific Lutheran University in August.

Each of the girls received a $700 scholarship.

• Bothell’s Elizabeth M. Van Hollebeke was awarded a $2,000 Claude and Kathleen Irwin Regents Scholarship at Washington State University.

Van Hollebeke is the president for Stevens Residence Hall and was on the President’s Honor Roll for one semester.

She graduated from Archbishop Murphy High School in 2006 and anticipates graduating from WSU with a degree in speech and hearing sciences in May 2010.
