Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office investigating homicide in north Bothell

Officials with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office have confirmed that a 36-year-old man has died after he was shot outside an unincorporated north Bothell residence on Friday afternoon. Deputies are searching for the suspect in the surrounding area.

“A call came in to 911 that a suspicious vehicle was parked in the neighborhood just before 3 p.m.,” said Snohomish County Sheriff’s spokesperson Sheri Ireton. “A few minutes after 3 p.m., a second call came it to 911 that the victim had been shot.”

The incident took place in the 10 block of 198th Place SE. and the cul de sac has been blocked off for investigation.

“Attempts to revive the victim were unsuccessful and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene,” Ireton said. “Detectives are interviewing several witnesses, but a suspect has yet to be positively identified.”

Deputies said that the dead-end road will be blocked off for several more hours as the investigation and search are ongoing.

Ireton has updated that the victim’s family lives at the home where he was shot.
