Snohomish County Tourism Bureau has new Board of Directors appointed

Sara Blayne, Andrew Heelas and Bria Miller have been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Snohomish County Tourism Bureau (SCTB) for three-year terms, effective Nov. 19.

Sara Blayne, Andrew Heelas and Bria Miller have been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Snohomish County Tourism Bureau (SCTB) for three-year terms, effective Nov. 19.

Sara Blayne, CMP, is the general manager of the Lynnwood Convention Center. A 20-year veteran of the hospitality industry, she brings to the board extensive experience in event planning and convention services. She has held facility management positions at both private and public meeting venues.  Sara is a past president of Meeting Professionals International’s Washington State chapter and served on its board a total of eight years in various positions.

Andrew Heelas is the general manager and director of sales for the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Lynnwood. He has 17 years of experience in the hospitality and tourism industry; in his last position at IHG, he supported nearly 160 hotels across six states in the Northwest, including Washington. Andrew also brings expertise in digital marketing, social media and reputation management to the SCTB board.

Bria Miller is the general manager of the Best Western Cascadia Inn in Everett. A 10-year veteran of the Snohomish County hospitality industry, she was most recently the general manager and sales director at the Medallion Hotel in Arlington prior to her current position. She brings expertise in public relations and marketing to the SCTB board.
