Sons of Norway class registration opens

Bothell Sons of Norway has opened registration for three fall classes starting the first week of October: Rosemaling, woodcarving and a Norwegian Youth Day Camp.

Bothell Sons of Norway has opened registration for three fall classes starting the first week of October:

Rosemaling Class (Monday Oct. 1, 8, 15 and 29 from 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.) – Teacher Marilyn Hansen welcomes all with the desire to learn the art of rosemaling. Beginners to advanced skill levels are welcome. Cost is $95 for Lodge members and $105 to non-members plus cost of supplies. Pre-registration with payment required. Woodcarving 101 Class (Saturday Oct. 6, 13 and 20 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.) Learn the basics of woodcarving from instructor Jerry Clapp. Wood and paint will be provided, carving tool available for $15. Cost of class is $25 to Sons of Norway members and $30 to non-members. Pre-registration with payment required. To register call Selma Snaring at (425) 385-2144.

Norwegian Youth Day Camp (Saturday, Oct. 6 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.) The purpose of this camp is to introduce and promote the culture and heritage of Norway. Open to ages 8-23 years old.
