Incumbent Larry Springer is set to face newcomer John P. Gibbons for Legislative District 45 State Representative, Pos. 2 in the general election, as of the Aug. 4 update.
Tuesday’s primary election results show incumbent Democrat Larry Springer garner 72.34% of votes, or about 22,894 votes, according to early King County Election results.
Newcomer Gibbons, a Republican, secured 20.42% of the vote, or about 6,464 votes.
Opponent Amber Krabach, of the Election Integrity Party, trailed with 2,214 votes.
So far, King County Elections has counted over 421,000 ballots. In Legislative District 45, voting turnout so far lingers at just over 33.63% with 32,600 ballots counted of the 96,948 registered voters.
Primary election results are certified Aug. 16. The general election is Tuesday, Nov. 8.
