The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission will be presenting management options for the Saint Edward State Park Seminary building at a public meeting from 6:30-8 p.m. on Sept. 10. The meeting will take place at the Northshore Utility District Building, 6830 NE 185th St. in Kenmore.

Staff from State Parks will present options for the future of the 80,000 square-foot building, which has been in disrepair for nearly four decades. During this time, numerous proposals and planning efforts have been considered but did not come to fruition because they were too expensive or were not viable for a variety of other reasons. Last year, the Commission put forth a formal resolution to seek out private or public partnerships to explore funding possibilities.

At the meeting, the public will have an opportunity to provide comments on these options. Staff recommendations and public input will be presented to State Parks Commission at its regular meeting on Sept. 18 in Ilwaco.
