Washington State Patrol detectives are seeking more information on a collision that caused critical injuries on south bound 405 in Bothell on Tuesday.

The Washington State Patrol Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating the car/truck serious injury collision that occurred in the southbound lanes of I-405 at SR 527 in Snohomish County.

The preliminary investigation shows that at approximately 1:08 p.m., a Volkswagen SUV was on the on-ramp from 527 to southbound 405 when it drove off the roadway to the left. The car crossed a median between the on-ramp and the mainline and entered the southbound lanes of I-405 where it was broadsided by a tractor/trailer.

The driver of the Volkswagen was critically injured.
