Bothell State Sen. Rosemary McAuliffe endorsed Kimberly D’Angelo for the Northshore School District school board on Tuesday.

McAuliffe joins candidate for the Snohomish County Council (District 4), and former Mayor of Mill Creek Terry Ryan in endorsing D’Angelo for the Northshore school board.

D’Angelo was honored to have received the senator’s endorsement.

“I am honored and proud to have the endorsement of State Sen. Rosemary McAuliffe. Rosemary has been an advocate for our children, and their education during her tenure as a state lawmaker. I look forward to working with her if I am elected.”

McAuliffe is a former Northshore School board director herself, serving on the board for 14 years, two years as board president. She currently serves as a ranking member of the Senate Early Learning & K-12 Education Committee.

McAuliffe joins a diverse and robust group of political leaders, business leaders and community advocates in publicly recognizing that they believe D’Angelo is the best candidate in the election for the Northshore School District school director.

D’Angelo’s other notable endorsements for school board include State Sen. Nathan Schlicher (D-Gig Harbor) and State Rep. Cyrus Habib (D-Kirkland).

D’Angelo attended Northshore schools herself, K-12. But what sets her apart is the privilege she has of serving in higher education as an adjunct professor and student advisor at Northwest University. Her role gives her the distinct advantage of observing firsthand the skill level of students and whether or not they are adequately prepared for the collegiate level.

She has two children in Northshore schools.
