Skyview Junior High students were evacuated this morning due to a bomb threat, according to a parent whose wife received a text from their daughter at 10:50 a.m. and later an automated phone call from the Northshore School District.
The man, Jeff (last name withheld), drove by the school and saw police officers on the scene. The call noted that the police thoroughly searched the school, nothing was found and the students responded well.
School-district Communications Director Leanna Albrecht said students were allowed back into school at 11:30 a.m. and school will finish on time at 2:25 p.m.
“We are proud of students who calmly yet quickly followed school emergency procedures. We want to assure you that students are safe,” the call noted in part.
