“Our friends, family and neighbors just a couple hours away have suffered tremendously since early July when these devastating fires first began. We wanted to put together a coalition of folks here in King County to show our support and act on the prayers and thoughts that have been with those affected by the fires for the last several weeks. We are excited about our community here coming together to help fellow citizens of our great state,” said Lori Sotelo, chair of the King County Republican Party.

Items specifically requested are: generators – 10KW or 50KW; baby formula, diapers and wipes; cases of bottled water; sleeping bags and blankets; non-perishable food items; and visa gift cards (to be used for gas, supplies and groceries).

The drive will run through Thursday, July 31. Items will be transported over to Central Washington the following weekend. The location has been donated for use by Wallace Properties, Inc.
