The third annual Seattle Watersports Kenmore Hydroplane Cup will be held April 16 at noon, with boats launching from the ramp next to the ramp along 68th Avenue Northeast.

The race will feature vintage inboard boats as well as outboard hydroplane competitions.

The event is free, and 192 Brewery will be hosting a happy hour during the event. Races along the Sammamish River began in 1938 and were discontinued in 1976.

In 2014, Amberly Culley, a local artist, revived interest in the event.
