Natalie Chadwick, a University of Iowa junior from Bothell, received the 2008 George L. Droll Award for her contributions to improve the quality of life for students living in school’s residence halls.

She received the award at a presentation ceremony Nov. 7 in the George Droll Lounge in Currier Hall. Along with a certificate, Chadwick received a $1,000 credit on her university bill to be used toward room and board in the residence halls.

A resident of Stanley Hall, Chadwick is a junior psychology and pre-nursing major whose career goal is to become a nurse practitioner in pediatrics or geriatrics.

Chadwick said she likes living in Stanley because of its easy access to campus, the fitness center, the computer lab, dining and proximity to downtown Iowa City.

“After having lived in residential housing for three years, it is easy to see how the staff and students encourage interaction and work to create a welcoming living environment,” she said.
