UW Bothell will celebrate its 25th anniversary starting May 9 with the 10th Annual Husky 5K race. This family-friendly event will start at 8 a.m. and include a timed race, UW pep band, bouncy houses, breakfast, silent auction and more.
After the race, the entire community is invited to take part in the 25th Anniversary Celebration and Alumni Weekend from noon to 4 p.m. Enjoy free food and beverages while listening to great music from our own UWave Radio. Explore UW Bothell’s buildings and labs, including the newest state of the art, eco-friendly Discovery Hall science and academic building. Bring boots and take a muddy boot tour of our wetlands. This is also a great time to see reminisce with founding faculty.
The UW Bothell School of Business, School of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences, School of Educational Studies, School of STEM, and School of Nursing and Health Studies will also be on site, hosting interactive, family-friendly activities.
Top off the day with a 21-and-up nighttime celebration. Enjoy beer, cider and wine from several local breweries and an alumni owned winery, eat at any of the delicious locally owned food trucks, and listen to live bands play while connecting with friends old and new. This event is the first of its kind for UW Bothell, and it’s going to be big. Presented in partnership with the Bothell Chamber of Commerce, “Pump up the Purple” is expected to host nearly 400 UW Bothell alumni, faculty, students and Bothell community members and residents. Ticket prices include an etched UW Bothell Alumni Weekend glass and five beer tickets.
