Kenmore is hosting it’s annual Parks Appreciation Day on Saturday, April 25, at Log Boom and Rhododendron Park.

Parks Appreciation Day is part of many Kenmore’s events to bring the community together, fostering community memories, and showcase the parks within Kenmore.

Local groups, businesses and residents will participate in the community park clean up event starting at 9 a.m. and working until noon, and can clean, prune, or weed at either Rhododendron Park or Log Boom Park.

Volunteers are warned to bring work gloves and to come dressed for the weather, though the city will provide the work party equipment.

After the volunteer work party, there will be a volunteer appreciation barbeque at Rhododendron Park.

While the event is free, groups of volunteers or those under the age of 18 will need to preregister for the event. Adult volunteer registration is not required.
