Vote for Leota Junior High eighth-grader’s Doodle 4 Google artwork

Braden Welke, Leota Junior High eighth-grader, is one of 40 regional finalists and one of 10 in his age group selected for the Doodle 4 Google contest. He submitted a drawing that described what would like to do someday: Be the first to travel to the end of space. The Doodle 4 Google contest runs now through May 13. People can go online to www.doodle4google.com and vote for his design. The national winner will receive a $15,000 college scholarship, a laptop and a $25,000 grant toward a computer lab at his/her school. Welke and his family will be flown to New York for the announcement of the winner.
