Alvin Rodgers
Alvin Rodgers passed peacefully on August 14, 2016 at the age of 94 at his home in Kenmore.
Born January 6, 1922 into a pioneering Bothell family, he was an accomplished athlete at Bothell High School. Married his high school sweetheart, Betty Jane Morris, and celebrated 69 years of marriage until her passing in 2010.
He was a young 1st Lt in the Army and served in the Aleutian Islands and the Philippines during WWII. Al was a longtime golfer and was a 44 year member of Inglewood Country Club. He was a small business owner in Seattle until his retirement. Al was a member of the Vern Keener Polo Club and kept in touch with old friends from the Bothell-Woodinville area.
Al is survived by his 2 children, S Michael (Marcia) Rodgers and Jerri (Bill) Pavitt. Also, by his 4 adored grandchildren, Steve Rodgers, Mike Pavitt, Ann Dillon and Keri Reding and 8 great-grandchildren.
At his request there will be no services. Donations in his memory may be made to Evergreen Hospice, 12040 NE 128th St. MS#5, Kirkland, WA 98034.
