Long-time Bothell resident and pioneer descendant, Susan Ericksen, passed away peacefully at home in Lynnwood on April 22, 2022 at the age of 66. She was born on September 15, 1955 at Swedish Hospital in Seattle, Washington, to Carlton “Bud” and Patricia Ericksen. Susan graduated from Bothell High School and attended food preparation classes at Shoreline Community College. She later spent 17 years with the Northshore YMCA as a childcare provider. Susan enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and cats; getting together for holidays; shopping; traveling; bowling; and going to lunch and the movies with her retired nurse, Ruth.
In her younger years, she was often the life of the party and always knew how to entertain a crowd.
A beloved daughter, sister, and aunt, Susan will be missed dearly.
She is survived by her brother, Michael, and Beatriz Ericksen; sister, Edith, and Jim Berg; niece, Kimberly, and Jeff Dunlap; and great niece and nephew, Katie and William. A small, private service was held at Acacia Memorial Park. The family asks anyone with fond memories of Susan to kindly visit Acacia’s website and leave a note of remembrance on her obituary page.
Donations honoring Susan’s memory may be made to: Homeward Pets, P.O. Box 2293, Woodinville, WA 98072. If you wish, you may choose to specify, “for Cat Care.”
