A love letter to Kenmore | Letter

We moved to Kenmore 18 years ago. Our first born was three and our second was three months. We moved here for the good schools and a bigger house.

We also had friends and business partners in the very nice neighborhood. The real reason we moved here was for the sunshine.

Our first house in Shoreline was on a shy half acre of dark woods and North facing, you needed a jacket in Summer. Our Northshore Summit neighborhood is at the top hill of hill and gets sun all day long. I love it.

If we walk down the hill we see Mt. Rainier and the lake. From our bedroom we can see Glacier Peak. The neighbors are all nice. St. Edwards is a gem. The lake is a gem. The little park they built in our neighborhhod is beautiful. The city has done a good job.

Kenmore is going to get better and better and we will miss it. Our first born is finishing college and our second is about to start and we are moving toward retirement and to the other side of the mountains. I will miss this won derful place and lovely people.

Thank you to those good schools and teachers.

Jon Lindstrom, Kenmore
