The Bothell High School football team will face Skyline tonight at 7 p.m. at Pop Keeney Stadium in downtown Bothell.

The Bothell High School football team will face Skyline tonight at 7 p.m. at Pop Keeney Stadium in downtown Bothell.

Both teams come into the game with 4-0 records in league play but Skyline is a perfect 8-0 and will pose a challenge for the Cougars.

Bothell is just 5-3 overall after it lost its first three games in a row to begin the season. Those losses began with a non-league loss to Skyline on Aug. 31, 33-21, as Skyline scored 18 unanswered second-half points.

The Cougars are coming off a 23-7 win against Woodinville last week, while SKyline pitched a shutout against Issaquah 21-0.

The Associated Press ranks Skyline No. 1 in the state for 4A teams, while Bothell has yet to climb back into the top 10 after beginning the season in the top five.

Bothell’s biggest margin of victory this season came against Ingelmoor, 66-21 on Oct. 12, while Skyline beat Coeur d’Alene of Idaho 71-25 on Sept. 15. Skyline has scored over 50 points in a game six times this season.
