Make hotels build their own parking in downtown Bothell | Letter

With all of the congestion and parking problems in downtown Bothell, why is the city welcoming two new hotels and leasing them space in the City Hall parking garage, paid for by Bothell citizens?

The city is currently urging us to park in the garage, but soon many of those spots will be reserved for hotel guests.

Why don’t we require the hotels to build and pay for their own garages to accommodate vehicles of out-of-towners and let local people continue to park for free in the City Hall garage?
