The mayor’s opportunity | Letter

I have lived in Bothell my entire life and love being part of this community.

I have lived in Bothell my entire life and love being part of this community.

I have been watching what has been going on in council for the last 10 years and have enjoyed seeing the positive changes that have been made. My dad and many others have been part of the good things happening in Bothell.

I saw an article recently that listed Bothell as the No . 1 hottest community to live in the area. Due to the leadership of past councils and community leaders who have worked with our former city manager Bob Stowe, we have made amazing progress.

I think it is extremely disappointing you would fire Bob while he is on vacation with his family. Bob has a daughter around my age of 15 years old. If someone fired my dad during our vacation, when he couldn’t even be there to defend himself, it would make me sad. You should not have fired him the way you did. You should have looked him the eyes and had the respect he deserved.

Mayor, you stated in your interview on King 5, in your own words, that firing Bob while he was on vacation was a “good opportunity.”

Now you have an opportunity to apologize to Bob Stowe and the community for your poor behavior.
