Opened in March 2024, Lumin Laundry was founded by Seattle native and retired electrician Arne Bjorkelo, who set out to reimagine what a community laundromat could be.

“I wanted to create a place where people feel welcome and looked after,” Arne says.

“When I envisioned creating Lumin, I saw a business that offered convenient, professional laundry services but also provided a family friendly space where customers felt comfortable and safe while doing their laundry.

The facility features brand-new, state-of-the-art Electrolux equipment designed and manufactured in Sweden.

These high-extraction washers use less water and spin at higher speeds, removing more moisture so clothes spend less time in the dryer.

With a general combined washing and drying time of less than an hour per load, customers are saving both time and money.

Each machine offers an ergonomic design with an intuitive seven-inch touchscreen and a wide range of wash cycles to suit everything from delicate fabrics to large comforters, pillows, pet bedding and even rugs.
