2010 Bothell High graduate Yordan Rivera has recently signed with the Ancilla College men’s soccer team for the 2011 season.

Rivera currently plays midfield for the Seattle Sounders FC U18 Academy, helping that team reach the top of the Western Conference standings with a 12-4-4 mark.

During his prep career, Rivera received first-team all-league honors in both his junior and senior seasons, contributing 14 goals and 31 assists during that two-year stretch, and also helped his club team, Crossfire Premier, notch back-to-back state titles.

“Yordan is a major addition to our program,” said Ancilla College men’s soccer coach James Drzewiecki.  “It’s not every day we get to tap into the MLS youth teams for players.  He’s a very crafty player and has a good head on his shoulders.  I feel he can be a real game changer for us when we take the field in 2011.”

Ancilla College is a Catholic, two-year liberal arts college in Donaldson, Indiana.
