The Inglemoor girls' basketball matchup against Ballard was a nip-and-tuck battle for three quarters, after which the Beavers held a slim 50-49 advantage. But that all changed in a hurry as a fourth-quarter charge, led by senior captain Taylor Peacocke, left Ballard in the dust as the Vikings poured in 24 points to the Beavers' four to win 73-54.

But that all changed in a hurry as a fourth-quarter charge, led by Sacramento State-bound senior Taylor Peacocke, left Ballard in the dust as the Vikings poured in 24 points to the Beavers’ four to win 73-54.

Peacocke finished with a season-high 25, followed by Kelly Conroy (12) and Chay Fuller (10) who also both reached double digits.

The win elevated Inglemoor to 2-1 in Kingco play and 3-2 overall.

 

Roosevelt tops Bothell basketball

The sixth-ranked Bothell boys’ basketball team couldn’t overcome an early eight-point deficit and ended up falling to the Roughriders at home on Tuesday night, 67-51.

Zach LaVine scored a team-high 18 for Bothell, weigh Perrion Callandret adding 15.

The team dropped to 1-2 in 4A Kingco play and 2-2 overall and plays Garfield tonight at home at 8 p.m.

On the girls’ side, the Cougars had a solid the first half, nursing a 24-18 lead, but struggled after the break as Roosevelt outscored Bothell 31-14 for the remainder of the game in a 49-38 loss.

The Cougars, led by Kendra Heyer’s 17 points, fell to 0-3 and 0-6 overall.

 

Vikings still searching for first league win

The Inglemoor boys’ team fell to 0-3 in 4A Kingco games on Tuesday night at home with a 56-45 loss.

The Vikings were held to just six points in the opening quarter and seven in the third.

Point guard Chris Bryant led all scorers with 17 points.

The Vikings (1-4 overall) will try again tonight against Roosevelt on the road, tipoff at 8 p.m.
