The Inglemoor High School boys basketball team nearly doubled up Newport during the third quarter Friday but it was not enough to overcome a lackluster first half, losing 67-56 in Kenmore.

The Vikings fell behind by five during the first quarter and then everything went south, as Newport exploded for a 25-8 run during the second quarter. Inglemoor hit the court after halftime looking like a different team, outscoring the Knights 23-12 during the third but it was not enough to overcome the deficit.

Inglemoor senior A.J. Peacocke led all scorers with 18 points.
