Bothell baseball knocks off Eastlake, 5-2

Bothell received two hits apiece from four players in its 5-2 triumph over Eastlake in 4A KingCo baseball action on April 13.

The Cougar dual-hit bat-wielders were Josh Davis with three RBIs, Jacob Peoples with a double and an RBI, Brody Ponti with an RBI and Dylan Gerard.

Bothell led 3-0 after two innings and expanded its lead to 5-0 after four innings.

Pitcher Logan Leadley earned the win.

SOFTBALL

Carli Zanassi knocked a homer and two doubles in North Creek’s 22-2 victory over Shorecrest on April 13.

Also for the Jaguars, Malia Pinder had two hits and four RBIs, Sierra Hein had two hits and three RBIs, Averi Egbert had two doubles and two RBIs and Riley Madsen had two hits, three RBIs and earned the win from the mound.

Over at Cedar Park Christian — which forms a team with Providence Classical Christian — the girls defeated Sultan, 17-15, on April 16.

Andi Dill had three hits and three RBIs, Ellie Chi had two hits, Lauren McNamara had a double and pitcher Cheyenne Nelson earned a complete-game victory.
