The Bothell High baseball team picked up a huge win over Mount Si on Wednesday, April 27, beating the league-leading Wildcats 5-4 in extra innings in Snoqualmie.

The Bothell High baseball team picked up a huge win over Mount Si on Wednesday, April 27, beating the league-leading Wildcats 5-4 in extra innings in Snoqualmie.

The win is the third in succession for Bothell (11-7 overall, 9-6) with the postseason just around the corner. The Cougars sit fourth in the KingCo 4A standings with one league game remaining.

Bothell has now taken both games from the Wildcats this season.

Mount Si (15-3, 11-3) had won seven consecutive games coming in, and took a 4-2 lead into the top of the seventh inning on Wednesday. The Cougars scored two in the top of the inning to tie the game, and grabbed a game-winner in the top of the ninth.

Bothell out-hit Mount Si 8-7, and both teams committed an error. No other scoring information was available.

Next, the Cougars are scheduled to play Seattle Prep at 6 p.m. on Friday, April 29 at Steve Cox Memorial Park in Seattle. The final home game of the year for Bothell is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Monday, May 2.

• Skyline 4, Inglemoor 1. Jeremy Schoenfeld didn’t get much help on Wednesday as the Vikings dropped a KingCo League contest to Skyline in Kenmore.

Shoenfeld pitched a complete game, giving up 11 hits but allowing only three earned runs. He also had one of the Vikings’ three hits, and Inglemoor’s only RBI.

Inglemoor (3-14, 1-13) is mathematically eliminated from playoff contention.

Skyline (12-6, 9-5) scored three runs in the top of the first inning, and tacked on an insurance run in the third frame.

The Vikings have two games remaining: at Eastlake on Friday, April 29, and at home against Newport at 6 p.m. on Monday, May 2.
