The Bothell High School girls softball team blasted Holy Names Tuesday, 14-4, in five innings.

The Bothell High School girls softball team blasted Holy Names Tuesday, 14-4, in five innings.

The mercy-rule shortened game began with a 4-0 Holy Names lead. But seven unanswered second-inning runs helped Bothell take the lead and all the momentum.

Bothell would add seven more runs between the fourth and fifth innings to end the game.

Bothell was led by Alex Farmer and Julia Warner, who were both 2-for-3 with three RBI. Both of Warner’s hits were doubles.

Janell Martin picked up the win for Bothell by pitching four innings, giving up just one earned run and striking out six batters.
