Bothell blasts Inglemoor, 12-6, moves on in 4A Kingco baseball playoffs; Cougs will play Lake Washington at 4 p.m. Thursday

Behind home-run blasts from Kevin Knapp, Michael Marriott and Brian McAfee, Bothell High defeated Northshore rival Inglemoor High, 12-6, yesterday in a 4A Kingco playoff loser-out game. Bothell (16-7 overall) will next face Lake Washington in the third-place game at 4 p.m. Thursday at Woodinville High.

Inglemoor (18-5 overall and Crown Division champ) is finished for the season.

Bothell scored seven runs in the first inning and held on for the victory. Knapp also doubled and had four RBIs and Marriott and McAfee had three RBIs apiece.

For Inglemoor, Scott Meyers and Ethan Yeo had two hits apiece.

The winner will travel to Vancouver on Saturday for a state play-in game against the winner of the Greater St. Helens League championship game between the Evergreen Plainsmen (13-8 overall) and the Kelso Hilanders (17-3 overall).
