The Cougars (3-0) have swept two of three opponents this season, losing only one set in 10 attempts.

Tuesday saw the return of senior Alexa Torres from a weekend recruiting trip, and the outside hitter and captain didn’t disappoint. Torres led the team with 11 kills, taking the lion’s share of the team’s attempts.

Gabby Kepley wasn’t far behind, finishing with nine kills only only 14 attempts. Camille Gilmore had five kills and Sydney Cowan and Sierra Myers each had four.

The Cougars have a week off before their next contest, a nonconference game against Mount Si on Sept. 20 in Snoqualmie. Bothell will face Mount Si later in the season as a conference opponent on Sept. 28.
