The Bothell High School boys cross country team, along with Inglemoor’s Kyra Burke, took first place Saturday during the 2012 Tomahawk Twilight meet held at the Cedarcrest Golf Course in Marysville.
The Bothell boys were led by Charlie Barringer, who took fifth place with a time of 15-minutes, 45-seconds. Cougar Jacob Straus finished 14th overall with a time of 16:15, while teammate Dean Willis was 18th (16:22). Bothell’s Theodore Pierce was 31st overall (16:34) and Wyland Tregear finished 55th (16:58). Dan Tarleton finished 70th (17:13), while Eli Brayton rounded out the Bothell finishers at 88th place with a time of 17:29.
Burke first
Burke finished the race in a time of 18-minutes, 13-seconds to take first overall for 3A-4A girls competitors. Teammate Amber Rose also finished in the top ten with a time of 18:59, good enough for ninth overall.
Inglemoor’s Mike Mendenhall finished second overall with a time of 15:35.
Sally Larson of Cedar Park Christian placed first in 1B-2A category at the Twilight XC Invitational with a time of 18.09 giving her the best overall time for all schools. Kyle Cole of Cedar Park Christian placed fourth in the 1B-2A category with a time of 16.23
