The Bothell High School boys tennis team came within one win of a sweep against Issaquah, 6-1, on Wednesday.

The Bothell High School boys tennis team came within one win of a sweep against Issaquah, 6-1, on Wednesday.

The dominant performance was led by the Cougars’ doubles teams, as Nick Wong and Darrin Neil won the No. 1 seed match, 6-4, 6-1; Conner Newton and Aditya Iyer won in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0; and Jared Water and Abi Chandra won a tighter 7-6(5), 6-2 match.

In singles action Cougar Andrew Schuller beat Richard Jiu, 6-1, 6-1; Andrew Roetcisoender defeated Gabriel Bacerdo, 6-0, 6-4; and Joe Yamauchi won against Kobe Sarasaud, 6-2, 3-6, 7-6(6). Cougar Dylan Kato put up a fight against Jake Jong, but eventually lost 6-4, 6-2
