The Bothell High School volleyball team earned a hard-fought victory Thursday night against Newport 3-2, as the final tie breaking game went down to the wire.
Bothell began the contest with a lot of momentum at home, winning the first game in decisive fashion, 25-16. The Cougars maintained the momentum to take the second game 25-18. But the Knights would come back, winning the third game 25-21 and the fourth game 25-22.
Bothell regained its composure following the losses to narrowly edge Newport during the tiebreaker, 15-13.
The Cougars will travel Mount Si Tuesday to take on the Wildcats at 7 p.m.
