The Bothell High girls' soccer team rode a brace from Madison Hommer to its first win of the young season on Thursday, Sept. 15 in Snoqualmie.

The Bothell High girls’ soccer team rode a brace from Madison Hommer to its first win of the young season on Thursday, Sept. 15 in Snoqualmie.

The Cougars led 1-0 at halftime, and beat Mt. Si 3-0.

Bothell (1-2 KingCo, 1-4) got an opening goal from Hommer in the 25th minute. Kaitlin Bean scored early in the second half, and Hommer scored on a corner kick from Maiya Pacleb.

Emily Heffernan earned the Cougars’ first shutout of the season.

Next, Bothell is scheduled to continue KingCo play with an away match at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 20 at Eastlake High School.
