Bothell girl helps NW Lady Sharks complete successful season

Northwest Lady Sharks are a 10U fastpitch softball team made of girls born in 2003.

Northwest Lady Sharks are a 10U fastpitch softball team made of girls born in 2003. The girls compete in 10A USSSA, NSA and ASA tournaments. They have just ended their 2013-1014 season and include Reagan Ellis of Bothell. The 10 A level is the highest in Washington state.

The team is coached by Steve Olynyk, Tim Schmidt and Don Hines. Ended the season with an ASA power score of 100.31.

The 10U Lady Sharks finished the season with the following tournament placements:

• Went undefeated racking up a run differential of plus-36 in four games at the USSSA Mosquito Invite, May 17-18 held at Steel Lake park in Federal Way.

• Third place, NSA Sterling Invite, Wenatchee, Washington, May 24-26

• First place, NSA Patriots Invite. Battled from third-place in the pool play to take the championship, June 7-8, Phil Johnson fields in Everett.

• ASA Northwest National Qualifier, June 27-29, Wallace Marine Park, Salem, Ore.

Seven games, second place, 10U A bracket. Earned a berth to the ASA/USA Girls’ Class “A” National Championships held in Johnson City, TN July 26-Aug 3.
