Bothell High girls soccer playing strong with 6-1-1 record

After winning just three games last year, the Bothell High girls soccer team is making up for lost time with a 2-0-0 4A Kingco, 6-1-1 overall record so far.

Kendra Heier leads the way with four goals, followed by Ali Cundiff and Ashley Butcher with two each and Katherine Lacy and Shannon Schueren with one each.

In the Cougars’ 1-0 victory over Redmond on Tuesday, Cundiff scored and goalkeeper Alexis Thode notched her fourth shutout (she now has five overall).

• In other Northshore girls soccer action, Cedar Park Christian defeated Northwest School, 2-1, Sept. 18 behind goals by Anna Barrett and Kaitlyn Bartee.

In a 4-2 loss to Overlake on Tuesday, Nicolette Clark scored both goals.

The Eagles are 1-2-1 overall.
