Bothell High’s Dragland: All-American diver, Olympic hopeful

Bothell High alumnus Carrie Dragland is gunning for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. An All-American diver at the University of Miami, she has qualified for the 10-meter-platform Olympic trials, which will be held next summer at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way. At Bothell High, Draglund was a 4A state, 1-meter runner up as a senior in 2008 and took ninth at the U.S. Summer Senior Nationals on the 10-meter platform.

In gymnastics for the Cougars, she was the 2007 and 2008 4A state all-around champion, and won the state vault title as a senior with a perfect 10.0.
