The Bothell High School girls basketball team defeated Woodinville, 54-51, on Friday thanks to a strong first half.

The Cougars began the game by doubling up the Falcons score during the first quarter and then letting loose for a dominant 20-8 second-quarter advantage. But Woodinville battled back, outscoring the Cougars by 13 points during the second half.

Bothell was led by Keyonna Jones with 14 points, Miranda Dixon with 13 points and Taya Corosdale with 12 points.
