Bothell, Inglemoor notch victories | Prep Girls Soccer

Bothell High’s girls soccer squad continued its shutout streak with a 2-0 victory over Newport High on Thursday night.

In front of a “great Bothell crowd,” according to coach Shaun Warner, the Cougars (2-0-1) ran their opponents’ scoring drought to 250 minutes and Bothell is the only 4A KingCo squad that hasn’t conceded a goal in three games.

Bothell goalkeeper Emily Heffernan notched some big saves during the game, which featured two goals from Kaitlin Bean, one of which had teammate Estera Levente beating five players — and the goalkeeper — with the dribble and passing the ball to Bean for the score.

Bean has scored three goals this season.

For Inglemoor, Kelsy Berge scored two goals and Kylie Russell, Joie Christensen, Natalie Brown and Sadie Sheller also tallied in the Vikings’ 6-1 win over Mount Si on Thursday night.

Russell added two assists and Allea van den Berg had one assist.

Inglemoor is 1-3-0.
