Bothell player helps Seattle Transition earn second at national hoops tourney

Bothell's Taya Corosdale was part of a Seattle Transition seventh-grade girls AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) basketball team that took second in its division at the recent national championships in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Bothell’s Taya Corosdale was part of a Seattle Transition seventh-grade girls AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) basketball team that took second in its division at the recent national championships in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Seattle Transition played in Division I, the highest division at the tourney that featured 68 squads. The team was undefeated before losing, 35-27, in the championship game to Tennessee Flight Select Stallings.

Coached by Linda Slater, the team also featured players from Woodinville, Seattle, Edmonds and other local cities.
