Bothell quarterback Jacob Sirmon named 2018 All-American

Jacob Sirmon called it a dream come true: Bothell High’s standout quarterback was named an Under Armour All-American.

The Bothell junior made the announcement via Twitter on Jan. 4, just months after leading the Cougars to the state quarterfinals. Sirmon threw 17 touchdowns and just two interceptions during the regular season.

“Ever since I could first pick up a football, I had a dream to play college football and become an All-American,” Sirmon said on Twitter. “I would like to thank God for being my rock, my parents for their unconditional support and all my coaches and mentors for everything they have done for me.”

Sirmon has already committed to play for the University of Washington, and is among the top-rated 2018 quarterbacks in the state.
