Bothell rallies past Auburn-Mountainview to reach state playoffs | Prep football

The Bothell High football team gave traveling fans a scare in the first half, but battled back for a 23-14 win in a week 10 playoff game over Auburn-Mountainview on Friday at Memorial Stadium in Auburn.

The Lions led 14-0 early in the second quarter, but Bothell answered with a 29-yard touchdown from quarterback Jacob Sirmon to Ryder Locknane.

James Johnston connected on three field goals, one each in the second, third and fourth quarters to give Bothell a 16-14 lead. Jalen Ford capped the win with a 52-yard touchdown late in the fourth quarter.

Ford finished with 89 yards on 13 carries, leading a rushing attack somewhat stifled by Auburn-Mountainview.
