The Bothell High School volleyball team slipped past Ingelmoor Tuesday in a highly competitive 3-2 match in Kenmore.

The Cougars began the match with a 25-18 victory but the Vikings stormed back to dominate game two, 25-13. Bothell got payback with a dominating 25-12 victory to reclaim a one-game lead, 2-1.

Inglemoor staved off elimination with a 25-20 fourth-game win but would lose during the tiebreaker 15-12.

Cougar Alex Torres led all scorers with 24 kills, while teammate Hailey Crane had 13 kills. For the Vikings, Haley Harris finished with 13 kills.

Aliah Kim had 44 assists for Bothell but Inglemoor’s Emily Melillo wasn’t far behind with 40 assists.

Kate Carpenter finished the match with 21 of the team’s 38 digs, while Cassidy Olcese and Sierra Rose had 34 of the Cougar’s 49 digs.

Bothell improved to 4-1 in league play with the victory and will host Redmond at 7 p.m. on Oct. 23. Inglemoor, which is 0-4 in league play, will host Newport at 7 p.m. on Oct. 23.
