Winless in its last four league games, Bothell’s struggling soccer team came through on the road on Tuesday, April 14 during a 4A Kingco showdown against the Redmond Mustangs.

The game was scoreless for the first 65 minutes until Bothell finished with a flourish, scoring three goals in 15 minutes to net the 3-0 win.

Brandon Rise scored two of the three goals, one unassisted and the other off a feed from Shane Lervold.

The game’s first score was made by Cole Correll off an assist from Yordan Rivera.

Last Friday, the Cougars won at home against Lake Washington, 2-1.

Alex Gosselin opened up the scoring at the 51-minute mark off a Ryan Schroeder assist, and the Cougars padded the lead with Yordan Rivera’s feed to Russell Kilgannon 10 minutes later.

With two wins last week the Cougars are now 3-4-2 in league play and 4-4-2 overall.

Viks GET SLAMMED

Fresh off of his two-run home run against Bothell last Wednesday, Redmond sophomore Dylan Davis continued his assault on Northshore pitching with a game-winning grand slam against Inglemoor on Friday night at Inglemoor.

The Vikings came back to tie the game in the bottom of the fifth before a walk, bunt, throwing error and intentional walk in the top of the seventh set up Davis’ heroics.

The loss evened Inglemoor’s record to 5-5 (6-6 overall) on the season while Redmond moved into a four-way tie for first place in the league at 8-2 with Skyline, Bothell and Lake Washington.
