Bothell High School student Andrew Oh was among nine students to be named Athlete of the Week by the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) during the week of the state championship.

Oh finished his senior season meeting his goal, winning a state title in the 100 butterfly at last week’s state swim championships held in Federal Way. His winning time was 50.46 seconds.

Each week throughout the school year, the WIAA recognizes varsity athletes, from each of the six classifications, who exhibited an outstanding performance for the previous week. All varsity level students in good academic standing at their schools are eligible to receive the WIAA Athlete of the Week Award. Each winner receives a letter of recognition from the WIAA Executive Director, a commemorative WIAA Athlete of the Week beanie, and a certificate.
