The Bothell High School track and field teams will send athletes to the state meet in ten separate event May 29-31 at Mount Tahoma High School in Tacoma.
The Cougar girls finished third overall and the boys finished seventh out of the 22 teams competing at the two-day district meet in Lake Stevens last week.
The girls 400-meter relay team of Sarah Stavig, Sophie Bowles, Katie Bellusci and Maya Harewood took first with a time of 48.2 seconds.
Stavig also got first in the 100-meter run with a time of 12.1 seconds, while Harewood finished first in the 200-meter run with a time of 25.4 seconds.
Rebecca Peoples earned second in pole vault with a height of 11 feet.
The boys 1,600-meter relay team of Ryan Croson, Colton Sather, Kanyon Powers and Daniel Summers placed fourth in a time of 3-minutes, 25-seconds.
Croson also placed first during the finals of the 400-meter run with a time 48.7 seconds.
Charlie Barringer placed third during both the 1,600- and 3,200-meter run.
In field events, Cole Jones placed third in the javelin with a distance of 164 feet.
