The Bothell High volleyball team won a five-set thriller to beat Mount Si in a nonconference match on Tuesday, Sept. 20 in Snoqualmie.

The Bothell High volleyball team won a five-set thriller to beat Mount Si in a nonconference match on Tuesday, Sept. 20 in Snoqualmie.

The Cougars lost the first and third sets, but pulled off narrow victories in the fourth and fifth sets to win 18-25, 25-22, 25-27, 25-23, 15-13.

Senior Alexa Torres led Bothell (4-0) with 14 kills, part of a balanced attack. Camille Gilmore, Gabby Kepley and Sierra Meyers each had seven kills.

It was the second loss of the season for Mount Si (2-2). Both teams are scheduled to take part in the Kent Classic Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 24 at Kentwood High School.

Bothell has a nonconference match scheduled for Sept. 26 against Roosevelt, and is set to begin conference play at home on Wednesday, Sept. 28 with a rematch against Mount Si.
