The only thing left to decide for the Cedar Park Christian baseball team is exactly what seed the Eagles will take into the upcoming Class 1A state tournament.

Cedar Park has already qualified, winning the first two games of the Bi-District tournament on Saturday, May 7, at Joe Martin Field in Bellingham.

The Eagles (15-6 overall, 12-5) beat Lynden Christian 2-1 in the first round, winning on a walk-off single from Ben Hann in the bottom of the 11th inning. Lynden Christian’s Payton Robertson went nine innings on the mound, allowing only one earned run.

A few hours later, the Eagles beat Nooksack Valley 1-0 in the semifinals. Michael Attalah pitched a complete-game 2-hitter for the Eagles, striking out six batters with one walk.

Attalah also scored the game-winning run, stealing second base on a wild pitch and then scoring on an error in left field in the top of the fifth inning.

Including regular-season games, the Eagles have now won six in a row and 10 of their last 11 games.

Next, Cedar Park Christian is scheduled to take on Meridian in the district title game at 2:30 p.m. at Joe Martin Field in Bellingham.

Regardless of the final score, the Eagles will make the state tournament bracket, which begins play at Yakima County Stadium in Yakima on on May 21.
