Cedar Park Christian spikes Bellevue Christian for league volleyball title /Eagles’ Roundup

Cedar Park Christian defeated Bellevue Christian, 3-1, Tuesday for the Emerald City League volleyball championship. The Eagles (21-6 overall) are the No. 1 seed to the tri-district tournament and will host the semifinals on Thursday. The tri-district championship is at 2 p.m. Nov. 6 at King’s (winner is No. 1 seed to the state tournament Nov. 12-13 in Yakima).

Cedar Park coach Julie Nelson notched her 100th victory Oct. 25 when the Eagles defeated Overlake, 3-0.

Boys soccer: The Eagles will host Bush in round one of the Emerald City League playoffs at 4 p.m. Nov. 5 at Marymoor Park #4 (winner to play Overlake Nov. 9 — winner to state in May 2011).

Cross country: Andrew Dedo qualified for the 1A state meet, and the Eagle girls team, led by Sally Larson, placed third in tri-districts and qualified for the state championships at 10 a.m. Nov. 6 at Sun Willows Golf Course in Pasco.

Football: Curtis defeated Cedar Park, 21-0, on Tuesday to claim the fourth seed in the Nisqually League playoffs. The Eagles (6-5) will host Lynden Christian at 7 p.m. Friday at Juanita High in a crossover, season-ending contest.
